Certificates I, II and III in Spoken and Written English
The Certificates I, II and III in Spoken and Written English focus on general English language skills for day-to-day life, for work and for further study. The certificates are designed to develop speaking, pronunciation, listening, reading and writing skills from beginner to intermediate English levels.

CSWE II and III are also available online. Each course is 14 units divided into three groups: core, listening/speaking and reading/writing. The e-learning environment is highly interactive and provides contact with other students and a qualified ESL teacher (on request). During the Certificates I, II and III in Spoken and Written English, you will:
- develop confidence in your ability to understand and use English
- build your speaking, listening, reading and writing skills
- learn new vocabulary and improve your grammar
- improve your pronunciation
- learn to interact effectively and with confidence across a range of common social situations
Organisations may be eligible for WELL funding if there is a demonstrated need for language, literacy and numeracy training in the workplace. NSW AMES assists organisations in all industry sectors to design, deliver and report WELL funded training programs.

Participants can complete individual modules or full certification. They can be awarded statements of attainment or Certificate I, II or III in Spoken and Written English. These credentials are nationally recognised.

NSW AMES has developed and accredited a range of courses with the NSW Vocational Education and Training Accreditation Board (VETAB). Licences to deliver these courses are available from NSW AMES. Accredited courses can be delivered only by Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) who have purchased a licence to deliver the courses.
