Meeting Skills

Overview

Does your position require you to speak in meetings, prepare an agenda or take the minutes?  This course is designed to provide practice in the spoken and written skills needed to maximise effectiveness in leading or taking part in workplace meetings.

Learning outcomes

In the Meeting Skills course, you learn to:

  • develop a meeting agenda
  • use meeting conventions and processes 
  • use appropriate strategies to focus discussion 
  • use problem-solving and/or decision-making strategies
  • record decisions of meetings clearly and concisely

Eligibility

Organisations may be eligible for WELL funding if there is a demonstrated need for language, literacy and numeracy training in the workplace. NSW AMES assists organisations in all industry sectors to design, deliver and report WELL funded training programs.
