Negotiating and Problem Solving

Overview

Course demonstration

This short online course provides you with the knowledge and skills to negotiate effectively in the workplace. The course focuses on negotiating leave and work priorities. You also learn how to give an update in a meeting and to raise and discuss a problem. The negotiation strategies you practise will be applicable for many other contexts too.

Negotiating and problem solving is part of EnglishatAMES, a rich multimedia learning environment which utilises video, sound, animation and interactive tasks. You watch three video interactions, analyse the language elements and other spoken communication essentials such as voice quality, stress and intonation. You then build your own skills using a range of dynamic tools and background readings.
