Workplace training programs

Increase organisational productivity through enhanced language and literacy skills.

Empower your employees with the English skills to take part in the conversation, to meet reporting deadlines, communicate effectively in writing, comply with OH&S regulations, provide five star customer service or lead their team.

NSW AMES Workplace Programs provide communication skills and cultural diversity training for managers, supervisors and employees from non-English speaking backgrounds.

Customised training

Developed over 60 years, our approach to Workplace Communication Skills Training is collaborative to ensure it meets the learning needs of the individuals and the communication demands of the organisation. We assess the language proficiency of participants, the range of communication they require at work and the organisation’s business goals before recommending our training solution.

Through one-to-one, group training, workshops and online courses, we improve the way people communicate quickly and dramatically. Program assessments measure outcomes and your return on investment.

Funding support

Government funding is available to organisations under the Workplace English language and Literacy (WELL) program to improve the English language, literacy and numeracy skills of the Australian workforce. Over 18 000 workers receive training under WELL each year. Each program is jointly funded by the Australian Government and the organisation. You can be granted up to 75% of the training cost in the first year.

NSW AMES assists organisations in all industry sectors to design, deliver and report WELL funded training programs.
