Free translation services
NSW AMES offers free translations to eligible people. Bring your documents
to a NSW
AMES centre and
we can forward them to the translation service.
Documents which can be translated fall into three categories:
- Identity / relationship eg: birth certificate, marriage certificate
- Facilitation eg: driver’s licence, vaccination certificate
- Education / employment eg: school certificate, employment contract
Translations are limited to an extract or summary of not more than 100 words.

Fee-based translation services
NSW AMES assists organisations by arranging translation of documents and
information for brochures and websites.
We use translators accredited by the National Association for the
Accreditation of Translators (NAATI) to translate into over 130 languages.
Translations can be delivered to you electronically or we can arrange
for documents to be designed to your specifications.

Please note: A minimum fee of $120 will be charged for minor text translations.
